Pumpkins and Scarecrows

This weekend was filled with pumpkins and scarecrows.  We headed out Saturday to get some pumpkins for the boys. We tried out this pumpkin patch I had heard of.  It was OK.  They had some animals to pet and a hay ride.  Josh really like it.  There was one part were the kids could stuff a scarecrow with straw.  I remembered doing this every year with my sister and sitting him up on Grandma's porch.  My boys had never made a scarecrow before. So guess what I planned to do on Sunday afternoon.  Our scarecrow turned out pretty good.

Josh's New Trick

Disco Spelling

This is a very clever way to get Matt to do his spelling homework. His teacher has given them a list of things they can choose from and this is one of them. It's called disco spelling. You point down for the vowels and up for the constants. Matt makes it look so easy.  I just had to get it on video. All I know is he is enjoying doing homework and that NEVER happens.
